Official Show Rules and Regulations

These shows are Official American Miniature Zebu Association sanctioned shows and their rules shall govern.

All AMZA shows must be judged by an AMZA Judge.  If an official AMZA judge is not available, then another person whom is qualified to judge other breeds of cattle or livestock may be substituted. This judge must hold a one day license from AMZA. Said judge must be approved by AMZA not later than 2 weeks prior to show

Only American Miniature Zebu Association (AMZA) registered animals will permitted to show.

Exhibitors must be AMZA members in good standing to participate in the show.

The American Miniature Zebu Association will allow animals to be registered as late as 2 days prior to the show.  A $30.00 registration fee to AMZA members applies and allows any wins at the show to be official

ALL animals entered in the show must have the AMZA original or a photocopy of every animal entered at time of check in. A photocopy is recommended. If you have already sent in a photocopy with your entries nothing else is required. A photocopy of your AMZA registration papers sent in with your entries and will expedite check in.

It is recommended that every show animal has some sort of permanent identification. It is not necessary now, but eventually all miniature zebu cattle shown will need to be identified. This could be tattoos, microchips, ear tags or brands, anything permanent.

Nose rings are only required on any animal deemed to be hard to handle, or unruly. The judge or show committee has the right to have an animal removed from the ring if it is too disruptive or a danger to any other animal or person at the show.

Please check your animals carefully, any animal that shows signs of illness or infectious disease can and will be barred from the show. We are not requiring health certificates, but the show committee has the last word as to animals of questionable health. There will be no refund of animals deemed sick or unhealthy. We all must be responsible breeders and exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. We are sorry for this disclaimer, but we have a responsibility to all our exhibitors, as a quality and professional show is our goal.

A signed copy of each show program with the correct results is to be mailed to the AMZA office at 218 W. 6th street not later than 10 days following the show.Show results must be legible and the Date and signature of both the judge and the show secretary must be on the front of each show program submitted.
